Former Alabama running back Trent Richardson to coach at Hoover

The Hoover High School Buccaneers announced Friday via X it will be adding former Alabama and NFL running back, Trent Richardson, to its coaching staff as its new running backs coach for the upcoming 2024 season.

Richardson spent three seasons at Alabama, where he recorded 3,130 total rushing yards, 730 receiving yards, 42 total touchdowns from scrimmage and won two BCS National Championships. Richardson went on to win the Doak Walker Award and finished third in the 2011 Heisman Trophy race.

The tailback was later selected with the No.3 overall pick in the first round by the Cleveland Browns in the 2012 NFL Draft. Richardson went on to rush for 2,032 yards and score 17 touchdowns in his time in the NFL before stints in the CFL and AFL.

Personal: Trevion Ware is from Dallas, Tx, born February 16th. Trevion is a 2018 High school graduate from Dallas Carter High School. Trevion attended 3 colleges as a former college track athlete; Texas A&M University-Commerce, Butler Community College, and The University of Louisiana at Monroe.
