Former Alabama defensive back tragically killed in motor vehicle accident

Former Alabama defensive back, Terrance Howard tragically passed away after being struck by a passing vehicle while getting out of his vehicle to check on a motorist whom he was involved in a collision with prior moments before.

He was 19-years-old.

Howard is a product of Ridge Point High School in Missouri City, Texas. He was a walk-on, on the 2023-24 Alabama football team before entering the NCAA transfer portal in April and committing to North Carolina Central University to continue his playing career.

The former Alabama defensieve back reportedly suffered brain trauma and was placed on life support Thursday when this incident originally occurred.

Detroit Lions cornerback, Terrion Arnold, who was teammates with Howard while at Alabama, chimed on his Instagram story, expressing his sorrow by writing, “You fought hard, soldier. Can’t believe they would do you like that, bro. RIP.”

Howard’s father told Houston news station, KHOU11,  former Alabama Head Coach Nick Saban also reached out to the Howard family after hearing about his former players critical injury.
