Malachi Moore and Jalen Milroe have received a lot of preseason acknowledgment.
The pair were both named to the Walter Camp Player of the Year award watchlist earlier this week.
The Walter Camp Award is the nation’s oldest collegiate award and is annually awarded to the best player in college football. Moore and Milroe are already among the best in the country at their respective positions, with both being selected as SEC preseason All-Americans.
Moore was selected as the Crimson Tide’s permanent team captain in 2023 for a reason. He is the passionate, field general and instinctive leader of the defense. Moore accumulated 30 solo tackles, four pass deflections and one interception in 13 games last season.
Milroe enters his redshirt junior season as the out-right starter for Alabama in 2024. This comes off the heels of a season where Milroe was a Heisman finalist and led the Crimson Tide to the college football playoff semifinals. Milroe accounted for 35 total touchdowns, with 12 on the ground and 23 through the air last season.
The two veteran players are poised to have great individual seasons for Alabama.
