Former Alabama long snapper retires from the NFL after 10 seasons

Former Alabama long snapper, Carson Tinker hung up his cleats and called it a career Sunday, announcing his official retirement from the NFL.

This comes after Tinker managed to carve out a 10-year career after winning three BCS National championships at Alabama, being the starting long snapper on the 2011 and 2012 national championship teams.

Tinker went on to begin his professional career as an undrafted free agent in 2013 and successfully earned a roster spot with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Tinker spent the first five years of his career there before he later went on to have stints with the New York Giants, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Las Vegas Raiders and Los Angeles Rams.

Tinker became a Super Bowl champion as a member of the Rams in 2022. Tinker later went on to sign with the Seattle Seahawks before having second stints with both the Jaguars and Rams in the 2023 season.

Tinker is now retiring from football at 34 years old.
