Former Alabama quarterback, Greg McElroy feels the expectations of the standards from Alabama fans will not fade despite Nick Saban retiring and Kalen DeBoer taking over.
McElroy discussed Crimson Tide fans’ expectations during a recent episode on Always College Football.
The National Championship winning quarterback feels sirens will ring from Alabama nation if the Tide drops three games in year one under DeBoer.
“There will be alarm bells and sirens going off because I think people look at the standard,” McElroy said. “The standard is the standard. I don’t think it’s changed just because Nick Saban is no longer there. It’s Kalen DeBoer‘s team now, but the expectations remain high.”
Alabama will continue fall camp this week with its first game of the season less than 20 days away.
