Alabama running backs in non-contact jerseys at practice

Alabama football running backs, Jam Miller and Kevin Riley were spotted in black non-contact jerseys Tuesday at practice.

The non-contact jerseys are traditionally worn by quarterbacks to ensure they do not receive contact and prevent injury. Skill players typically wear them when they are hurting or healing up from usually a slight injury. Alabama has not updated the status of Miller or Riley as of Tuesday morning.

Miller is expected to be a major contributor out of the backfield for Alabama this season. He is reportedly taking reps with Alabama’s first team.

The former four-star finished the 2023 football season with 201 rushing yards, 73 receiving yards and two total touchdowns.

Riley is a former four-star running back, who enrolled at the University of Alabama during the summer.
