Fox Sports national college football analyst, RJ Young is not feeling Alabama football’s ranking in the AP Poll.
The Crimson Tide is rank at No. 5 in the preseason AP Poll. Georgia sits at No. 1 with Ohio State, Oregon and Texas sitting behind them.
Despite Alabama finishing the season ranked No. 5 last year, Young feels the Tide are not deserving of the No. 5 spot.
“I’m shocked at where Alabama is,” Young said. “I think they are overrated at No. 5 because we are treating this Alabama team like it’s still coach by Nick Saban, and it is not. That is not to say Kalen DeBoer is not one hell of a football coach. 104 wins and 116 times as a head coach, but I’m saying looking at the roster they have, it’s Jalen Milroe and the Pips on the offense. On the defense, it’s Malachi Moore and the Pips.”

Alabama will have a chance to Let All Naysers Know, including Young during the 2024 season, which is less than 20 days away as the Tide eye their home opener against Western Kentucky.
