Ryan Williams can not seem to keep his name out of the headlines as Alabama continues to work through fall camp.
Williams has been known to produce at a high level and create excitement as a two-time Alabama Mr. Football Award winner. He should be well on his way to chasing another Mr. Football award for Saraland High School, but he is in Tuscaloosa positioning himself to get playing time as a 17-year-old freshman.
DeBoer joined the Gojo and Golic show Tuesday and was asked a variety of questions, including his thoughts on Williams.
“People gotta remember, he’s a freshman, but he’s certainly shown it, taking opportunities and running with it,” DeBoer said. “He’s extremely dynamic and there are freshman moments, but there’s also some times where you’re just in awe of where he’s at considering his timeline and how young he is. So, he actually was a reclassified student-athlete. So. he’s supposed to be a senior in high school right now and really adds to what he does for us each and every day on the practice field.”
It should not shock anyone if Williams takes plenty of snaps against Western Kentucky.
