Alabama defensive lineman, Jehiem Oatis is molding into a veteran for Alabama football as a true junior with 25 games worth of experience under his belt.
Oatis returns to Tuscaloosa and is expected to have a prominent role on the Crimson Tide’s defense. This comes after Oatis tallied 26 tackles, two pass breakups and a pair of quarterback hurries in three starts over 13 games in 2023.
The 6 foot 5, 325-pound defender enters his junior season in Tuscaloosa with high hopes for himself and the Alabama defensive line unit.
“This D-Line man, with more work we’re finna go crazy this year,” Oatis said. “Putting the work in just on and off the field, just making each other better.”
Oatis also expressed what he and his defensive line unit can show in Alabama’s season opener.
“When we get out there first game, we can show that we’re locked in, competitive, and ready to work and show people that we can do the job in any situation in the game,” said Oatis.
The Tide is set to open season against the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers at home at Bryant-Denny Stadium on Aug. 31.
