The Crimson Tide’s head coach provide an injury update on two veteran players, Jam Miller (running back) and Jaeden Roberts (offensive lineman). Miller, a junior, could have scrimmaged, but the coaching staff held him out. He was banged up this week so the coaching staff thought it would be wise to hold him out. Roberts, a redshirt junior, exited the scrimmage early with an injury.
“Jam Miller got dinged up over a week ago,” DeBoer said.
“He could have gone today if he needed to, but we were not trying to be too crazy … we just wanted to be smart.”
DeBoer said Roberts will be ready to go for week one versus Western Kentucky.
“It won’t be anything where he’ll be out for a game or anything,” DeBoer said. “Jaeden will be able to play week one.”
Alabama is starting to get some guys healthy that have had bumps and bruises in camp.
The Tide’s first matchup of the season will be on Saturday, August 31.
