Nick Saban using ‘reverse rat poision’ to motivate Alabama

Nick Saban is using some rat poison as he gets his media career off the ground.

Saban wants his edition of rat poison to motivate Alabama football this season.

Pat McAfee had the former Alabama coach on his show Friday, and Saban told why he was sure to not pick Alabama to make the SEC Championship in 2024.

“It’s kind of reverse rat poison,” Saban said. “I always hated it, and I’m gonna hate it on this show. I might as well say it right off the bat or any show or game day, having to predict and make hypothetical decisions about who’s gonna win a game, who’s gonna win a championship, who’s gonna win what conference. So, I’ve always hated that. So, I picked Georgia and Texas because it’s reverse rat poison for Alabama. It’s a motivating factor for them not to get picked because I hated to be picked first or second because you don’t know how that’s gonna impact your team psychologically. These kids are affected a lot by what they read, what they hear, what they see. So, I didn’t want to say anything too good.”

Alabama will look to prove its former head coach wrong.
