Alabama veteran OL focused on adding national championship to his legacy

Alabama’s offensive line may be the best group in college football this season, especially on the interior.

Two players have an opportunity to be selected high in the 2025 NFL Draft, including one in the first round.

Tyler Booker has accomplished some things since coming as a five-star prospect in the 2022 class from Connecticut.

He captured a Southeastern Conference Championship ring last year and made first-team All-SEC. Booker assisted the Crimson Tide to an Allstate Sugar Bowl victory as a freshman, but he is hungry for more. His excellence in the spring, summer program, and preseason camp in the Kalen DeBoer era earned him team captain honors for the season. The 6-foot-5, 330-pounder is happy about being a leader, but only one thing will quench his thirst before leaving the University of Alabama. Booker is on several preseason award watchlists and is a preseason All-American for different publications, yet he wants a national championship.

“It’s great to add (team captain) to my legacy, but the best thing to add to my legacy would be a national championship,” Booker said Tuesday to reporters. “That’s what we’re focused on right now.”

He is one of the most dominant offensive guards in college football. Booker looks to make sure the offense excels, but he refuses to have another season go by with a national title ring. We will see how he leads the team to that goal.
