Why Justice Haynes loves to share backfield with Jam Miller

Alabama football looks to have a dynamic duo at running back once again in Jam Miller and Justice Haynes.

Miller and Haynes provided the Crimson Tide with a balanced attack in their Saturday win over Western Kentucky. Both ripped off long touchdown runs in the win with Miller taking the football 39 yards for a score and Haynes going 85 yards for a touchdown of own.

Haynes spoke to the media after the first 100-yard game of his career and expressed his excitement to share a backfield with Miller this season.

“It’s awesome,” Haynes said when discussing watching Miller play. “I want him to ball out every time he touches the ball. That’s my dog. He’s a dog. He works hard. He does everything he needs to do. Every time he touches the ball and he gets into the endzone, I’m so happy for him. It was great to see him in the endzone and do work because I know two six is special.”

The duo is cheering for one another on the football field while growing closer off of it.

“Two six is a great player, hard worker but even better person,” said Haynes. “We’re really close outside of football, and that’s what I love about it.”

Alabama continues its season against USF Saturday when they play host to the Bulls, and its running back room will be looking to make more noise.
