Vander Ploog reported an offer from Alabama football Thursday via X.
Ploog is a 2025 four-star tight end recruit out of Troy High School in Fullerton, California. He is currently verbally committed to the Washington Huskies.
The senior has reported offers from Alabama, Oregon and Texas A&M since verbally committing to the Huskies in June.
At 6-foot-6 and 215 pounds, Ploog has displayed an ability to make plays after the catch and get up the field with an impressive burst for a guy his size. His frame makes him a defensive mismatch for most high school defensive backs at the moment.

The Tide currently have a commitment from one 2025 tight end in Kaleb Edwards.
