Alabama football may have its starting left tackle from 2023 for this week’s game versus Wisconsin.
Kadyn Proctor, a sophomore, missed the first two games of the season with a left shoulder injury.

The mishap occurred during pregame warmups for the Crimson Tide’s season opener against Western Kentucky. He could have played in the meeting with South Florida, but Kalen DeBoer and the coaching staff decided to be cautious with him. Proctor, a former five-star, is an important aspect for the Tide in pass protection and run blocking. The 6-foot-7, 369-pounder started to look better in the latter part of the week before facing the Bulls, but he made huge strides this week in practice via Coach DeBoer.
DeBoer updated Proctor’s status for Wisconsin in Wednesday’s SEC Coaches Teleconference.
“He has been practicing,”DeBoer said about Proctor. “He is doing well, doing a good job. He was in a good direction at the end of last week and turned a corner. He has done a nice job in the first two days of practice.”
This is great news for Alabama fans. Proctor’s absence forced the Tide to shuffle its offensive line around, which caused a few players to play outside their normal roles. Alabama looks to have the 2023 Freshman All-SEC selection back for Saturday.
