Kalen DeBoer doubles down on positive report for Alabama’s OL ahead of Wisconsin game

He provided a positive update on the health of Alabama’s offensive line in Wednesday’s SEC Coaches Teleconference, but Crimson Tide head coach Kalen DeBoer doubled down on the message during his weekly radio show.

DeBoer told reporters that Kadyn Proctor and Elijah Pritchett are in ‘good spots’ for Saturday’s matchup against Wisconsin.

Proctor, a sophomore, practiced the latter part of last week. He could have played versus South Florida, but the coaching staff decided to be cautious and hold him out. The talented left tackle has practiced this week and is doing well.

DeBoer mentioned Proctor has turned a corner.

Alabama will need for him to get reps against the Badgers before heading into its bye week.

Pritchett, a redshirt sophomore, did not sustain any setbacks from the South Florida matchup.

He did not aggravate an ankle injury he suffered during the week of practice. Pritchett gave the Tide a spark in the fourth quarter versus the Bulldogs, assisting the offense to 28 points in a 42-16 victory. The 6-foot-6, 327-pounder enters this weekend with a lot of confidence.

DeBoer said Alabama is in a “better position” with its offensive line health than it was last week.

We should see Proctor and Pritchett against Wisconsin, which means the Tide should establish its run game.
