NFL world reacts to Tua Tagovailoa’s latest concussion in Dolphins loss to Bills

Sam Navarro - USA Today Sports

One of the most decorative quarterbacks in Alabama football history suffered another setback in the National Football League and it was scary.

Tua Tagovailoa, the No. 5 overall pick of the Miami Dolphins in the 2020 NFL Draft, sustained a concussion Thursday night in Miami’s home game versus Buffalo. The Bills earned a 31-10 victory, but Tagovailoa’s health took over social media, radio airwaves, and news overall. He suffered from concussions in the 2022 season, but he assured the organization that he would remain healthy in 2023. Tagovailoa took to mixed martial arts and it helped him. He avoided head/neck injuries last season to lead the league for passing yards (4,624) and touchdown passes (29).

Tagovailoa earned a contract extension from the Dolphins during the offseason, but he suffered another concussion after taking a hit from Bills’ defensive back, Damar Hamlin.
