The Dolphins’ starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was forced to exit Thursday night’s matchup against the Buffalo Bills in the third quarter after a suffering a head injury on a scramble attempt.
Tagovailoa collided with Bills safety, DeMar Hamlin, on a first down conversion, hitting his head on the turf afterward. Miami’s medical staff immediately rushed the field to tend to Tagovailoa as he was later able to walk off under his own power. The Dolphins ruled the fifth-year quarterback out for the game with a concussion.
The Dolphins’ coach Mike McDaniels commented on Tagovalioa’s overall injury in the Dolphins’ post-game presser.
”I’m just worried about the human being,” McDaniels said
Tagovailoa signed a 5 year $167 million dollar guaranteed contract extension with the Dolphins franchise this past offseason.
