Many have come to Bryce Young’s defense after seeing the Carolina Panthers decision to bench him.

The move was made on Monday after Young suffered his second loss of the season as its starting quarterback.

Carolina has not done enough to assure Young will have success, but Dave Canales has moved on to Andy Dalton being the Panthers’ starting quarterback now. Young, the former No. 1 overall selection of the 2023 NFL Draft, has his confidence hit, but sports royalty has his back. LeBron James, a four-time NBA Champion, came to Young’s defense on social media.

James was the No. 1 overall selection of the 2003 National Basketball Association Draft by the Cleveland Cavaliers.

He won two NBA titles with the Miami Heat, one in Cleveland, and one with the Los Angeles Lakers. James is a four-time NBA Final Most Valuable Player, 20x NBA All-Star, and gold medalist in the 2024 Olympics. The 39-year-old sees greatness in Young, so he wants the former Heisman Trophy winner to be encouraged. We will see how Young handles being benched for Dalton.
