Can Jalen Milroe elevate his NFL Draft stock with a dominant showing versus Georgia?

Gary Cosby Jr. - USA Today Sports

The quarterback position will be one of the biggest headlines next week.

Alabama and Georgia both have a quarterback that can take a step forward in the Heisman Trophy conversation and NFL Draft conversation with a dominant performance. Many pundits look at Carson Beck of the Bulldogs as a potential first-round selection for next year. Jalen Milroe has a chance to captivate the attention of scouts and pro teams on Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium in the highly anticipated matchup.

Neither signal-caller has tossed an interception through three games so far.

Matt Miller, an ESPN NFL Draft analyst, appears to be excited about what Milroe will bring next week. He praised his outing against Wisconsin, stating Milroe ‘has been so impressive.’ Miller highlighted the redshirt junior’s deep ball accuracy and how he’s improved as a decisive runner.

He likes the development Milroe has taken after showing flashes of potential last year.

Several NFL teams will be scouting Alabama’s matchup with Georgia. Milroe has 14 total touchdowns — including six rushing scores — this season. A lot of next level talent will be on the field, but he has a shot to outshine everyone.
