Jalen Milroe tells importance of BYE week ahead of Georgia

Jalen Milroe and the Alabama Crimson Tide are focusing on themselves this week in preparation for Georgia and the rest of the season.

Milroe sat down with USC Heisman trophy winning quarterback and now Fox college football analyst Matt Lienhart to discuss exactly how Alabama is using their BYE week to focus on their own shortcomings on film through three games. The Crimson Tide redshirt junior signal caller acknowledges the importance of the teams’ self assessment during the interview.

“I think No.1 is worrying about this week,” Milroe said. “This week is all about us refocusing and being able to put three games on tape, and so now it’s time to acknowledge us as a team, what we need to improve on, what we do well, what we do bad-well not bad, but somethings we need to improve on and consistently just trying to grow. This week is so important about taking care of our bodies and making sure we’re in the training room, taking care of our bodies, and mentally getting focused. So therefore, once we are at are top as a team for preparation and taking care of ourselves then, we can prepare for an opponent then prepare for war, for battle.”

Milroe will lead Alabama into a pivotal SEC matchup against the Georgia Bulldogs on Sept. 28.
