How Kalen DeBoer and Alabama are embracing underdog role versus Georgia

Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer leads the Crimson Tide out the tunnel onto the field for season opener versus Western Kentucky.

Kalen DeBoer and the Alabama Crimson Tide enter this week being fully aware they’ll be home underdogs for the first time in 17 years when they take on Georgia.

The Bulldogs are the No.2 ranked team in the nation and are currently a favorite on the road against the Tide this weekend.

DeBoer met with media Monday and was asked exactly how he and Tide are approaching their pivotal conference matchup against Georgia.

“No one’s fault that’s the case, but even if there’s one doubter that falls along with the LANK mentality,” DeBoer said. “That’s what we get to do, let any naysayers know what we’re capable of.”

DeBoer and the Crimson Tide will get their shot when they kickoff against Georgia on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. CST.
