Former Georgia player says Bulldogs’ win can show DeBoer Alabama ‘not ready for this’

Alabama football and Georgia will square off in a matchup this weekend with huge College Football Playoff and recruiting implications.

The Crimson Tide and the Bulldogs will undoubtedly be foes on the recruiting front for years to come. This is evident in the 2025 recruiting cycle with both programs fighting hard for 2025 five-star defensive lineman, Justus Terry. A win on Saturday could give the victor an advantage on the recruiting front.

Former Georgia player, David Pollack feels this is a perfect opportunity for Kirby Smart and Georgia.

“In the south, if I’m Kirby, and they win this football game, it’s like ‘look, look, see. You see what I’m saying? They’re not ready for this. This is a new reign,'” Pollack said. “That’s what they’re gonna do. You know exactly what they are going to do. I think Georgia can solidify themselves and say, ‘We have won as many nattys in the last two years as we have lost games, and we just went in Tuscaloosa,’ and you go ‘We’re still the kings of college football. We will take your questions later and probably be right back to No. 1 in the country.’”

Things will be settled on the field Saturday on Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
