The players for Alabama football are locked in on Saturday’s mission.

Kalen DeBoer will lead a team on Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium that wants to show everyone it remains the standard in college football. Everyone has added extra buildup to the Crimson Tide’s matchup against Georgia, but Alabama has not changed anything about its preparation. Freddie Roach and Robert Gillespie, Alabama assistant coaches, said Wednesday that the team prepares the same way for every game.

Alabama is not making this meeting with the Bulldogs more than what it is.

Coach DeBoer is excited to prove to everyone he can coach against the best in the Southeastern Conference.

He mentioned on his weekly radio show that the team is locked in.

“After practice, I shared with the guys I really liked where their heads were at,” DeBoer said Wednesday. “I felt like the work was being done on a high level. The energy was great. You can tell in the focus. … But I also felt like we were not tight.”

Alabama practiced with discipline, focus, and high level intensity.

The fact that DeBoer also mentioned the guys were not tight shows how ready they are for this weekend.

Alabama is set to make a statement at 6:30 p.m. CT via ABC against Georgia.
