A lot of talk has been made about Georgia’s physicality; however, a former All-American offensive lineman for Alabama believes the Tide’s front will take over in the fourth quarter.
Mike Johnson, a two-time All-American (2008-09), during his time at the University of Alabama, helped the Crimson Tide to its first BCS National Championship of the Nick Saban era.
He played from 2006 to 2009, clearing the way for Mark Ingram to become the program’s first Heisman Memorial Trophy winner.
Johnson was featured on Cover Crimson this week and he predicts Alabama to win 31-21.

“I think what you are going to get is, you are going to have ‘Bama up by a score and they are going to go into four-minute mode at the end of the fourth quarter and I think they are going to run it down Georgia’s throat,” Johnson said. “Like nobody has in the last four to five years. I think Alabama is going to run it down Georgia’s throat. I think the middle of this offensive line is going to take over. I think in the end, in the fourth quarter, inside of a minute left, ‘Bama scores that end of the game touchdown. It goes ahead by 10, goes ahead by 14.”
Johnson lost to Georgia in 2007, but he earned that revenge in 2008.
We will see how the physical the Tide are up front on Saturday.
