This NFC East team is reportedly a potential target for Jalen Milroe in 2025 NFL Draft

John David Mercer - USA Today Sports

Jalen Milroe’s career performance versus Georgia has National Football League personnel talking about him.

Several NFL teams were in attendance at Bryant-Denny Stadium and watched Milroe look in complete control as a quarterback on Saban Field. The native Texan completed 82 percent of his passes (27 of 33 passes completed) for a career-high 374 passing yards with two touchdowns and an interception. The turnover was not his fault as the ball bounced out of CJ Dippre’s hands into a Bulldog defenders hands. Milroe also had 117 yards rushing on 16 carries for two more scores, totaling four touchdowns.

He paced the Crimson Tide to a 41-34 victory in an incredible contest.

Mel Kiper Jr., an ESPN NFL Draft analyst, has Milroe vying for the No. 1 pick for next year’s NFL Draft.

According to NFL Rookie Watch, an NFC East is reportedly targeting Milroe as its option at quarterback.

The New York Giants are the team, especially with Daniel Jones lack of growth at the position. Jones, a former Duke University standout, was selected at No. 6 overall by the Giants in 2019. He never made a Pro Bowl team in five of his first six seasons, while his best year came in 2022 with a career-high 3,205 passing yards and 15 touchdowns to five interceptions. New York has no explosion with Jones at quarterback, but it sees the potential with Milroe. A duo of Milroe and Malik Nabers would make the Giants much more fun to watch. Brian Daboll, New York’s head coach, was Alabama’s offensive coordinator in 2017.

He worked with Jalen Hurts and Tua Tagovailoa, both dual-threat quarterbacks, to help the Crimson Tide’s to a College Football Playoff National Championship.

Daboll would work wonders with Milroe if the Giants make him the option at quarterback.
