Alabama football’s wide receiver coach JaMarcus Shephard used a portion of his media availability Wednesday as a recruiting pitch.
Shephard has garnered high praise from recruits since following DeBoer from Washington to Alabama. His fiery attitude has caught the attention of Tide players, recruits and the media.
This was no different Wednesday when provided one of the main reasons recruits should choose the Tide.
“They compete every day in practice,” Shephard said. “So, they’re making us better. We’re making them better. And that’s why, recruits, you come to the University of Alabama because you’re going to compete against the best every day. How can you get better every day competing against somebody who you know is inferior to you? You’re not going to give your best. You’re not going to do your best, you’re not going to be at your best, period.And when you get to that national football League, they’re gonna expect you to be at your best. So recruits, come to Alabama to compete with the best.”
Alabama is currently looking to add a few more recruits to close out its 2025 recruiting class.
