Nobody is sparing Alabama football after their upset defeat to Vanderbilt this past weekend.
Fox college football analyst, Joel Klatt let Alabama have it when chiming in on the state of the Crimson Tide on “The Next Round” podcast on Monday.
Klatt went into depth and did not hold back when describing Alabama’s shortcomings, particularly on the defensive side of the football when assessing the team’s performance as a whole.
“This Alabama team is just another version of the Lincoln Riley Oklahoma teams,” Klatt said. “Incredible, explosive offense, and they’re gonna be in shootouts the rest of the way. I told you that after the South Florida game, like that’s what they are. We’ve had four straight games of this and to think that it’s suddenly going to get better… Alabama, right now, is just a Big 12 team from 2017.”
Alabama now looks to retool their defense as they prepare a home contest against the South Carolina Gamecocks.
