Timothy Griffin made the first cut to his recruitment on Wednesday.
Griffin is a 2025 defensive end prospect out of Alcovy High School in Georgia. He has Alabama, Cincinnati, Florida, Georgia State, Florida State, Ole Miss, Tulane and West Virginia in his top eight.
The senior was supposed to visit Alabama for the Georgia game but was unable to due to Hurricane Helene. He told Touchdown Alabama he is eyeing a return to Tuscaloosa for an official visit.
“Nothing set right now, but I will definitely be setting up my OV there,” Griffin said.
Alabama was the first Power Four program to offer Griffin last month.
“The program is great,” said Griffin. “They have everything you need as a player and student to be successful all you have to do is use the resources because they have them all.”
At 6-foot-5 and 257 pounds, the new Alabama target is a long and powerful prospect, who displays strength in pursuit of the football.
