Is there a domino effect behind Alabama’s loss last week to Vanderbilt?
An ESPN College Football Playoff analyst believes what happened to the Crimson Tide negatively affected one team in the Southeastern Conference. Heather Dinich shared with ESPN on Tuesday that Alabama dropping to Vandy was not good for the Georgia Bulldogs. She said that Alabama’s win over Georgia should keep the Tide from ‘sinking too far’ in the CFP Committee’s eyes.

“When you’re in that selection committee room, head-to-head results matter tremendously as long as their records are the same,” Dinich said. “I would be shocked if they dropped Alabama below Georgia as long as their records are the same.”
Alabama defeated Georgia, 41-34, two weeks ago at home.
Alabama fans are not even focused on the CFP right now. The mindset for the Tide is bouncing back with a dominant win over South Carolina on Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium. Alabama players want to show the fans that the set back against Vanderbilt is not the start of a downside. The Tide and Gamecocks will battle Saturday at 11 a.m. CT in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
