KJ Green visited Alabama football on Saturday and left Tuscaloosa with an offer from the Crimson Tide.
Green attends Stephenson High School in Stone Mountain, Georgia. He garners a four-star rating from multiple recruiting sites with offers from Alabama, Florida State, Texas and others.
The sophomore and 2027 prospect is grateful for his offer from the Tide.
“This offer means a lot to me, especially knowing this is another one of the schools that I grew up watching and knowing,” Green told Touchdown Alabama “They do a great job developing elite first-round edge rushers. It means a lot to me, but the grind doesn’t stop.”
Green knows the Alabama program looks a bit different now without Nick Saban, but he is optimistic about the Tide’s future under Kalen DeBoer.
“I think the program speaks for itself, but it’s a change without Coach Saban,” Green said. “I think the new staff will soon make a name for themselves.”
At 6-foot-5 and 215 pounds, Green displays an ability to turn speed into power despite being only a sophomore. He takes pride in doing what it takes to be a complete player on the edge.
“Besides getting to the quarterback, I take pride in setting the edge, nobody will get outside of me,” said Green.
