In the final SEC availability report for Saturday’s contest between Alabama and Tennessee, one Crimson Tide starter was labeled as a game-time decision.
That player is starting safety Keon Sabb. Sabb was spotted in a boot as he entered Neyland Stadium. The Michigan transfer has been an intricate part of Alabama’s defense this season and has started all six games at free safety. He has recorded 37 tackles, three pass deflections, and two interceptions.
If Sabb is unable to play, I would look for sophomore Bray Hubbard and sophomore King Mack to see some time at the free safety position alongside graduate senior Malachi Moore. It will be interesting to see if Sabb is able to contribute like he has this season if he is able to play against the Volunteers.
