Jalen Milroe didn’t shy away from taking full ownership of Alabama football’s offensive woes after they lost to the Tennessee Volunteers at Neyland Stadium on Saturday.
Milroe accounted for one touchdown and 239 passing yards while Alabama scored 17 points on. The redshirt junior quarterback shouldered the blunt of the blame while meeting with the media afterwards.
“I’ve gotta take full ownership of that,” Milroe said. “When it comes to communication up front, communication to the guys around, I’ve gotta do better on my end with playing with better detail. Communication up front and allowing our guys to line up properly with the communication. So, that’s something that going back, we’re just gonna build on and get better at and something that I acknowledge as we were playing. So it’s all about building, it’s all about rebuilding and also acknowledging where we were not the best at today.”
Milroe and the Alabama offense now go back to the drawing board, heading back to Tuscaloosa looking for improvement ahead of their matchup against Missouri on Oct. 27.
