Nick Saban is watching Alabama football have some growing pains under his successor, Kalen DeBoer.
The Crimson Tide are 5-2 and are ranked No. 15 in the country under DeBoer. This is an unusual position for Alabama fans with it being the first time the Tide has lost two games before November since 2007.
Saban spoke at the Monday Morning Quarterback Club in Birmingham and discussed what he feels is the ‘most important’ thing Alabama fans should do at the moment.
“I don’t really analyze Alabama,” Saban said. “I never take the lead. I’m a fan now. So, I think the message that I would give to everybody is the most important thing that all of us can do as fans for Alabama is to be supportive, support the program, support the players, support the coaches. That will enhance us to be able to have the best solution and transition because it’s always difficult transition when you have a fairly successful program and somebody else comes in and it’s very challenging. I’ve been very supportive of the players, the coaches, the team, the university in every way that I can. And I want to continue to do that, and I would encourage others to do the same.”
Alabama will look to bounce back against Missouri this weekend.
