Alabama’s secondary was missing a starter for the second half of the Tennessee game.
Starting defensive back Red Morgan suffered an undisclosed injury against the Volunteers. On Wednesday, Morgan was listed as probable on the initial availability report for the Missouri game.
Morgan has been a key piece of Alabama’s defense this season. He has played multiple positions in the secondary for the Crimson Tide this season. Morgan can impact the game in different ways. He can help in coverage or aid in stopping the run.
Through the first seven games of his Alabama career, Morgan has recorded eight tackles and one pass deflection. The native of Phenix City, Alabama will continue to be an impactful player in Alabama’s secondary this season. His return to the starting lineup should be a boost as the Crimson Tide prepare to stop a pass-heavy, Missouri offense.
