Alabama football developed a team first mentality all week in practice, but will it translate on the field?

Wilkin Formby, a backup offensive tackle, was featured on Crimson Tide Sports Network in a recent interview. He got the opportunity to break down the Crimson Tide’s mentality with Roger Hoover. Formby, a Tuscaloosa (Ala.) native, came in Alabama’s 2023 recruiting class from Northridge High School. The 6-foot-7, 324-pounder said he ‘feels bad’ for Missouri before the Tide faces the Tigers for homecoming on Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium. Alabama is fighting for its CFP lives.

“We have come off a loss and we are very focused on us,”Formby said.

“It is all about us, and we are focused on just keep winning. We are focused on the next game at hand and wanting to dominate our opponent. We are focused on what we have to do.”

Formby said a lot without saying a lot.

He is saying that Alabama has not only found a sense of urgency, but it also set to go on a run of punishing opposition to get to the College Football Playoff. Tide fans have heard the “gonna do” speeches for two years now. It is time for action to happen.

Alabama kicks off with the Tigers at 2:30 p.m. CT.
