The trade deadline in the National Football League is set for November 5.
Bryce Young, a former Alabama standout, has been one of the biggest names considered to be on the trading block.
Report: Bryce Young could be out of Carolina before the NFL trade deadline
He was selected No. 1 overall by the Carolina Panthers in the 2023 NFL Draft. Young, a Heisman Memorial Trophy winner in 2021, has struggled early in his professional career. After leading the Panthers to two wins in 16 games as a rookie, he was benched earlier this season in favor of Andy Dalton. Young has completed 61 of 102 passes for 523 yards with two touchdowns to five interceptions in five games. Carolina is 1-7 on the season, and the idea of dealing away Young is still at the forefront.
According to Dianna Russini of The Athletic, she reports on a former Crimson Tide coach coming to Young’s defense amid his struggles with the Panthers. Per Russini, the coach said Young ‘needs a new program.’
