Former Alabama DB dismissed from Auburn team for missing practice

One former Alabama defensive back was dismissed from the Auburn football program on Wednesday for a violation of team rules which includes missing several practices.

That is former four-star and Anniston High School two-sport standout athlete Antonio Kite.

Kite signed with Alabama as a part of the 2022 recruiting class. Coming out of high school, Kite was widely regarded as one of the premier athletes in the ’22 recruiting class and rightfully so. He starred on the school’s football and basketball team.

In two seasons in Tuscaloosa, Kite played in nine games and did not record any stats. Following the conclusion of the 2023 season, Kite entered the transfer portal and eventually signed with Auburn.

In eight games with Auburn, Kite recorded six tackles and one interception for 19 yards.

Things have not panned out for Kite up to this point in his college career. It will be interesting to see what route he decides to take next.
