Alabama football knows the pressure it is up against to make the 12-team College Football Playoff.
After suffering losses to Vanderbilt and Tennessee, the Crimson Tide cannot afford a third defeat. Kalen DeBoer and the Tide are resting this week, but a matchup with Louisiana State University is on the horizon. LSU is 6-2 on the season and has a very explosive offense with Garrett Nussmeier at quarterback. Alabama goes into a hostile environment on the road, so the atmosphere will be chaotic at Tiger Stadium. DeBoer understands this group cannot have several mental mistakes.
He told the media on Monday the importance of discipline versus the Tigers.
“We know we’ve got a really big one, going into an environment that’s tough to play in,” DeBoer said.
“Gotta have great preparation. The guys are in a good spot, knowing full well that we’ve got a lot to work on.”
Alabama has several aspects it has to work on both offensively and defensively for LSU; however, the main thing is having discipline against a very good team. Brian Kelly and the Tigers look to take advantage of every miscue from the Tide.
Alabama cannot help LSU with extra opportunities because of self-inflicted mistakes.

It has to avoid pre-snap penalties, unsportsmanlike fouls, or anything that would take it out of rhythm.
