Alabama’s chances to make the College Football Playoff under Kalen DeBoer are good, regardless of two losses, but are Crimson Tide fans growing impatient with DeBoer?
An ESPN personality feels that way, especially with next week’s marquee matchup versus Louisiana State University.
The Alabama TE may translate to an excellent fullback in the NFL
Paul Finebaum acknowledges DeBoer as a ‘good coach,’ but said he ‘has not commanded the stage very well.’
Paul Finebaum on Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer:
“He hasn’t commanded the stage very well… His demeanor on the sidelines bugs people, his lack of discipline, some of the things that he says and does…
It’s really going to come down to next week.” pic.twitter.com/O2zZGKSbSG

“I have been to Alabama twice in the last two weeks now,” Finebaum said. “There is a level of impatience with him. Some of it is natural, it is post Nick Saban, but his demeanor on the sideline bugs people. His lack of discipline, some of the things he says and does, his coaching staff has not worn well, but having said all that … it is really going to come down to next week. Should he lose to LSU, that game will determine everything we say about him in the offseason. I am not that impressed so far.”
Alabama is in a must win situation next week for its CFP hopes and to show DeBoer was the right hire.
