Upset-filled weekend gives more life to Alabama College Football Playoff hopes

Alabama football may see itself rising in multiple college football polls after a BYE week due to several upsets.

The Crimson Tide is rank No. 14 in the AP Top 25 poll and the coaches poll.

Four teams currently ranked above Alabama lost on Saturday with Penn State, Iowa State, Clemson and Texas A&M losing.

The Cyclones, Tigers and Aggies lost to unranked teams.

The Tide are trending to be in the driver seat of their future in hopes of an opportunity to make the first 12-team college football playoff ahead of a road matchup against LSU.

The first official College Football Playoff ranking of the season will be released on Tuesday, Nov. 5, and it will give more clarity about where Alabama stands.
