How Kalen DeBoer developed talent has benefited Alabama this season

Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer is known for developing talent and putting players into the league. Prior to arriving in Tuscaloosa, DeBoer had 10 Huskies players drafted. Since arriving in Tuscaloosa, DeBoer has brought in three former Huskies and each of them have been impactful players for Alabama’s offense.

Wide receiver Germie Bernard, center Parker Brailsford, and tight end Josh Cuevas have been intricate pieces of Alabama’s offense since arriving in Tuscaloosa.

Bernard is the team’s second leading receiver with 30 receptions for 463 yards and two touchdowns. He has been a vital part of Alabama’s passing attack this season.

Brailsford has started in each of Alabama’s first eight games. He was named to the Outland Trophy watch list prior to the start of the season. He has been an anchor along the offensive line. He has allowed only four pressures and committed three penalties this season.

Cuevas has been a target in the passing attack as well. He has reeled in eight receptions for 96 yards and one touchdown.

Overall, DeBoer and the Alabama coaching staff did a tremendous job of bringing in talented players from Washington and getting them acclimated to the SEC and Alabama football. Each of the three Washington transfers have had success and will continue to in DeBoer’s offense.
