Alabama’s offense has been prolific for the most part this season. The Crimson Tide have had an explosive passing attack. Three wide receivers continue to create roles for themselves on offense and will look to be impact players for Alabama this weekend against LSU.
Juniors Emmanuel Henderson Jr., Kobe Prentice, and Kendrick Law have each been in Tuscaloosa for three seasons now. While each of them has had roles on the offense in the past and present, none of them have solidified themselves as a go-to receiver. However, each of them was expected to be featured more in Alabama’s offense and receive more opportunities to create big plays this season.
That has not been the case this season. Henderson Jr. has four receptions for 82 yards. Law has eight receptions for 95 yards and one touchdown. Prentice has eight receptions for 107 yards and one touchdown. Altogether, the three have combined to reel in 20 receptions for 284 yards and two touchdowns.
I would expect the trio to see more opportunities moving forward given the recent injury to Cole Adams. I firmly believe that Alabama’s offense would be more explosive if they are able to get the football to Henderson Jr., Law, and Prentice. They each have big play abilities and are aware of what it takes to make big plays when the season is on the line.
The SEC is tougher than it has ever been. LSU, Oklahoma, and Auburn each have good defenses that will test the Crimson Tide in a multitude of ways. Alabama fans should be on the lookout for these three wide receivers to have an impact in Baton Rouge this weekend in a must-win game.
