There have been some struggles on the offensive side of the ball this season. One of the lingering issues has been Alabama’s inability to establish an efficient rushing attack. In the past two weeks, that issue seems close to being resolved.
In the last two games, Alabama has rushed for 582 yards and 10 touchdowns. Running backs Jam Miller and Justice Haynes have shown strides of improvement as of late. Quarterback Jalen Milroe has been the X-factor all season long on the ground and was again on Saturday night against LSU.
Milroe had 12 carries for 185 yards and four touchdowns in a must-win game against the Tigers. Miller and Haynes combined to have 21 carries for 61 yards and a touchdown. Overall, it was a solid performance on the ground for the Crimson Tide.
The rushing attack has been a work in progress all season long. However, it seems to be peaking at the right time of the season for Alabama. A balanced offensive attack will be crucial down the stretch as Alabama looks to close out the season on a good note and keep their hopes of reaching the College Football Playoff alive.
