What did we learn about Alabama after its victory over Mercer?

Kalen DeBoer handled business last week on Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium.

He coached Alabama football to its eighth victory of the season with a 52-7 win over Mercer. The Crimson Tide is not only alive for the College Football Playoff, but an opportunity to play in the Southeastern Conference Championship Game is there too.

Initial reaction/takeaways as Alabama avoids letdown versus Mercer

All it needs is to win out, have Missouri win, and Tennessee lose to get to Atlanta, Ga. Alabama had a lot of young players to earn reps against the Bears, including two on offense that connected for a touchdown in the fourth quarter. 

Before we move on to Oklahoma, it is time to review what we learned about the Tide after last week.

Kane Wommack was the right hire for Alabama football as a defensive coordinator.
