Alabama ranks at No. 7 in the Associated Press, but the Tide would host a playoff game on Saban Field if the CFP falls in line with the AP. Some feel Alabama should not try to play in the SEC title game because of fear of losing the game would eliminate it from CFP contention.
Jihaad Campbell, a junior linebacker, sent an emphatic message to all haters and doubters in Tuesday’s media availability about the Tide’s mentality to close out the regular season.
“We (Alabama) are here, and we are here for a reason,” Campbell said. “You look on the walls and you see the national championship numbers and the SEC Championship numbers and when you think about it, you know we are here for a reason. Everyone has the same ultimate goal. If you are with us, you are with us. If you are not, then you can excuse yourself out and get out and we won’t have to worry about you. Everybody here is worried about what do we as Alabama have to do to get better.”
This team is super focused on the goal and the process of playing its best at the right time.
