Alabama lost its second player to the NCAA transfer portal this season as linebacker Keanu Koht was the latest to file his paperwork according to a report from ESPN.
Koht, who was recently suspended from the team for an undisclosed reason, has missed the last two games for the Crimson Tide.
“He wasn’t with us,” head coach Kalen DeBoer said. “I’m not gonna get into length or anything like that but he won’t be with us this weekend.”
Koht first arrived at Alabama in 2021, was expected to see his first true crack at playing time in 2024 but was slated as the third option at WOlF behind Qua Russaw and Que Robinson. In seven games, Koht recorded five total tackles and one sack.
He enters the portal with two years of eligibility remaining.
