The Crimson Tide’s defensive secondary has 12 of the team’s 14 interceptions and its lone touchdown on that side of the ball. Alabama is prepared to face two quarterbacks this weekend versus Oklahoma, but is the Tide becoming elite on the back end of its defense? Malachi Moore and Bray Hubbard is the tandem PFF broke down. Moore, a fifth-year senior, is pushing for his fourth Southeastern Conference Championship ring and second College Football Playoff National Championship ring.
Remaining positions of interest for Alabama football with signing day approaching
Hubbard, a second-year defensive back, replaced an injured Keon Sabb and has excelled. He has two interceptions on the season and has brought physicality to the back end of the defense.
PFF gave Hubbard a grade of 90.1 is second among safeties, while Moore’s grade of 84.6 ranks sixth.
Moore, like Hubbard, has two picks as well.
Both are prepared for Saturday’s matchup against the Sooners on 6:30 p.m. CT.
