Alabama football is now out of the College Football Playoff picture.

It suffered a 3-24 embarrassing loss to Oklahoma last week, ending all opportunities to compete for a Southeastern Conference Championship at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Ga.

The defeat also makes the chances virtually over for the Crimson Tide getting into the 12-team playoff.

Alabama dropped six spots in the latest AP Top 25 ranking on Sunday, falling from No. 7 to No. 13.

The teams ahead of the Tide are Clemson (#12), Boise State (#11), Indiana (#10), SMU (#9), Miami (#8), Tennessee (#7), Georgia (#6), Notre Dame (#5), Penn State (4), Texas (#3), Ohio State (#2), and Oregon (#1).

The Tide would need chaos to happen on rivalry week to backdoor its way into playoff.

Alabama takes on Auburn this week in the Iron Bowl on Saban Field at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
