The latest AP Poll was released on Sunday afternoon. The new poll elevated Alabama’s ranking from a week ago.
Heading into rivalry weekend, the Crimson Tide were ranked No. 13 in the AP Poll. After defeating Auburn and receiving help from other teams, Alabama is now ranked as the No. 11 team in the latest AP Poll.
The ranking is positive news for the Crimson Tide as they await their postseason fate. Kalen DeBoer’s squad finished the regular season with a 9-3 record, and put themselves in position to reach the inaugural 12-team College Football Playoff. Despite several blemishes to its record, Alabama continues to have a strong case to secure a spot in the College Football Playoff.
The College Football Playoff bracket will be revealed on December 8. Until then, Alabama will have to patiently wait and see how things play out during the conference championships in week 15.
